Travel Vaccines

In our global world, over 1 million people travel internationally each day. In many underdeveloped countries, many vaccine preventable diseases are still fairly common such as polio and measles. Without vaccines, epidemics of many preventable diseases could return to the US resulting in increased illness and even death. For this reason, vaccination before travel is imperative to ensure global public health. Midtown Primary Care Doctors is committed to ensuring maximum immunization coverage to our patients in our Midtown practice from children to the elderly.

Travel & Specialty Vaccines

We offer a wide variety of vaccinations recommended and required for international travel based on latest guidelines from the Center of Disease Control. In fact, we specialize in these hard to find travel vaccines.

Vaccines for Travel Destinations:  If you are traveling to Africa, Asia or South America, you will need vaccines.

We provide the following vaccinations:

  • Vaccinations for Brazil
  • Vaccinations for Cambodia
  • Vaccinations for China
  • Vaccinations for Ghana
  • Vaccinations for India
  • Vaccinations for Kenya
  • Vaccinations for Peru
  • Vaccinations for the Philippines
  • Vaccinations for South Africa
  • Vaccinations for Tanzania
  • Vaccinations for Thailand

Routine Immunizations & Tests:

Although vaccine-preventable disease levels in the United States have decreased significantly from historic highs, this fact does not mean diseases have disappeared. Indeed, many preventable diseases are in fact making a resurgence due to relaxed adherence to vaccination guidelines. As recent measles and whooping cough outbreaks have shown, we can never take immunization coverage levels for granted or be lax about prevention with vaccination efforts.

Routine Immunizations:

  • Hepatitis A (adult and pediatric)
  • Hepatitis B (adult and pediatric)
  • Twinrix (combination Hep A & Hep B)
  • Meningococcal (Meningitis)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • Pneumococcal (Pneumonia)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Poliomyelitis (Polio)
  • Shingles

I’m so very happy that I found Midtown Primary Care Doctors! You can always tell how good a doctor is by his office staff and when I called and his reception team took the time to look up my insurance and verify that I was covered despite how busy they were I knew that I was in good hands. When I came in for my appointment I was very impressed by the office and I was evaluated by the reception team in the most professional manner and with such a high level of respect, for my requests that I have to say, this level of client patient care is first rate. The doctor met me with a warm smile and handshake and took the time to review my medical history and even drew blood himself from my arm even though his usual tech was not available, truthfully I was blown away because no one had ever been able to do that before. I’m really looking forward to having the best care and attention for my health concerns in his office and I am very blessed that he accepts my health insurance, I’m just incredibly happy!
